At Tour Performance Golf, pre-loved club grading is built on technical workshop experience. Each club is assessed component-by-component so you can buy with confidence.

Grade 1 - Mint Condition

Perfect condition with no signs of use.

  • Head: Flawless finish, no impact marks, pristine paint and graphics.
  • Shaft: Perfect condition, no bag wear, may retain original wrapping.
  • Grip: Unworn, original tackiness, often with protective sleeve.

Grade 2 - Near Mint Condition

Only the faintest signs of use.

  • Head: Near-perfect condition, possible microscopic face marks.
  • Shaft: Excellent condition, minimal handling marks.
  • Grip: Like-new feel and tackiness, no wear patterns visible.

Grade 3 - Excellent

Light, careful use with excellent overall condition.

  • Head: Light ball marks and minor sole wear with good paint retention.
  • Shaft: Minor cosmetic marks only, no structural concerns.
  • Grip: Good condition with most original feel retained.

Grade 4 - Good

Honest signs of regular play but well maintained.

  • Head: Clear wear and moderate sole marks, structurally sound.
  • Shaft: Visible bag wear marks, full structural integrity.
  • Grip: Useable condition with visible wear patterns.

Grade 5 - Fair

Significant use but fully functional.

  • Head: Heavy face and sole wear, remains playable.
  • Shaft: Functional with visible wear and surface marks.
  • Grip: Worn and likely to need replacement soon.

Grade 6 - Project

Requires attention but with restoration potential.

  • Head: Heavy wear, may include damage, assessed for rebuild viability.
  • Shaft: May require work or replacement.
  • Grip: Replacement required, reflected in value and recommendations.
